Rediscovering Myself…

It has been a while since I posted. I am here  I am alive. I am waking up…

For the past year and half I have been hit with this crippling depression. When I thought about writing I would get a bad headache or cry. I love writing… But with this disease I could not find pleasure in anything. i couldn’t even read, and I LOVE to read. After a few doctor visits and a change in some medications. I noticing parts of myself that I missed.

In the past month I have read more then I have in a while. It’s back! The tickle, the need to write is coming back. The fun part, in which I didn’t notice I had lost, singing in the shower. I caught myself, but didn’t stop.

So Mondays I am going to be posting stories as I try to rediscover myself. Wednesdays I will post about writing. And Fridays will be Fan Girl Fridays. I have a lot of things to share.

So look forward to more from me, also cover reveals! I do plan on having The Opposite Side Book 2 out this October. I have an awesome cover to show. I also have one for my Starstruck novel Rock my Stars. I am hoping for a Winter release.

It’s been a while…

A lot of things happened over the summer some good some really bad. Of course we went to our annual pirate fest in June, and we stopped in at the California Academy of Science in San Francisco. Great place for the nerd in me to hang out for the day. I got to touch a dinosaur bone, mark that off the bucket list. But July was not so nice to my family. I lost my dog, almost lost my husband, suffered illness, and had home and mechanical problems. August brought in some good luck so far. My great niece was born yesterday. It was a hard birth, but mom and baby are fine. Miss Kinsley Maryann has some lungs on her. Today I finally have an itch to actually write. Because of the rough summer I have had no urge to even look at my computer or even work on anything. So maybe I can get back to it.

Happy New Years #make2016abetteryear

I’m not one for resolutions. I will break them. But I am making sure to change some things up this year because it needs to happen.

On that note. I will be having some reading fun.

I did notice last year that I should have read more. So I will attempt to try. So be sure to see more book reviews…

I am a little bummed that the Tulare Sci-fi Con is not going on this year. But I am going to use the extra time to get more writing done. I had a good year with the release of Playing with Magic, Island of the Zombie King, and Stone Guardians: Obsidian. I am always looking for reviewers so if interested let me know.

More coming soon. Stay tuned for a Sunday snippet tomorrow!

Stone Guardians is out!! Enter the world of the Guardians, and meet Isobel and Vilem.

Last of her kind, kept hidden by her Guardian master Vilem of the Obsidian Clan. Youngest son to Ivy who is responsible for the uprising that tore the Stone Guardians into two factions. One who still worship the Goddess, and the other who defies her.

Isobel has seen a lot throughout her many years with Vilem. She has learned with great minds, taught by teachers who live in history books. But she is truly happy when she sings. Now she is the head singer of the local rock band À La Mode. Her band consist of her closest friends, who are fourth generation Guardians. As uninvited visitors show up and threaten Isobel’s life. See Stars news and giveaway is still going!! #paperbackgiveaway

I planned that Seeing Stars would be a stand alone book. But sometimes that changes. A very good friend of mine has finished the sequel and its with the editor. I loved to see where Logan and Alisa’s life has gone. The book takes place about a year later and lots of changes have happened for Alisa. I will have more soon, but it looks like a possible release next month!!

You still have time to get a signed paperback copy of Seeing Stars!!

Happy May updates!

How are you guys doing? Have you thawed out? Or in my case here in California, prepping for a long very hot summer. This month is going to by a busy month. I am hoping to release Seeing Stars my very first contemporary romance.

Alisa, bank clerk by day self published writer by night, gets a phone call that will change her life. Hollywood wants to make one of her books into a movie. The news comes on the day she starts vacation, excited, she leaves work early to surprise her husband. To her surprise he is already home, and well even more surprising he is sexing up the neighbor in their bed.

Heartbroken and angry she makes a decision to head off to Hollywood on her own. Before the meeting she meets her TV crush Logan Rider. Logan has not only read her book Portals, but he wants to direct the movie. The offer is almost too good to be true! Alisa is thrown into a whirlwind of Hollywood as she sees stars, learns the movie business, and uncovers a few secrets. Secrets that prove stars are just as flawed as regular people. But there is one secret that can destroy Logan’s career. Will Logan be devoured by this secret, or can he find the strength to conquer it with Alisa’s help?

I am still working on the blurb. I will also be helping with some releases from Evolution Press, including mine, Jennifer Brown’s Mystery book might be out towards the end of the month, and coming soon we will have a kids book coming out. I will share more info on that as we get closer to releasing the book.

Update on the Opposite Side. Blood Father the second book is moving along. I am pushing for a July release, fingers crossed anyway. Playing with Magic will also be coming out this summer, which I am really shooting for an August release. I also have plans to release Island of the Zombie King, its going to be a bit bizarre fiction, erotic, horror, weirdness mixed all together. I am experimenting. That is about it on updates for now. I will have a cover reveal coming soon for Seeing Stars, say stay tuned!!

This happened…

Yes this just happened tonight. I really hope everyone enjoys the book the second book in the series Playing with Magic will be out in August. And for those who have already read it please give me a review and well how about a dirty tease from Playing with Magic?

Rough Draft but here you go…

Anatha had watched Autumn talk to the elders and the power play. She had shrugged it off and enjoyed feeling normal with Davies. He danced just as good as her, matched each move with her own. She let the music tale her over, and she could feel her magic wrap around her as the music called to it. It inflamed her. Davies touched her arm. The one touch lingered, and made her body want more. If she felt this way about Davies then she must not really love Jaime. Was she just waiting for someone who inflamed her like the super hot Davies.

Her burgundy eyes flamed as she watched him twist and move to the beats. It made her think of darker and dirtier things with moves like that. She bit her bottom lip as things inside of her clenched with lust.

When the song ended Davies leaned into her. “You are a hot dancer.”

Her face turned a little scarlet. “Thanks.”

“You want to go outside and get some air?”

She nodded noticing how hot she had become. “Sounds good.”

They walked through the swaying crowd and finally moved out to through the backdoor. The crisp clean air hit them. Anatha paused taking in a big breath. Her eyes went to the stars above them. She could still feel her skin tingling with the music, magic and Davies’s touch.

“You okay?” he asked her coming close.

“Yes,” she said and realized they were all by themselves there in the dark. “I was just enjoying the fresh air.”

He ran his fingers lightly down her bare arm and she fought the shiver. “I felt your magic in there when you danced. I won’t lie and say that it did not turn me on, because it did.”

Her eyes widened. “Well thanks,” she said.

His hand wrapped around her arm. “You know it isn’t even that. You are sexy.” Before she could say anything he kissed her. The shock of it made her pause but as his arms pulled her against his rock hard body she melted into him. Her body tightened as her heart raced while his tongue teased and played around in her mouth.

A slight moan escaped her throat as his hands slipped under her tank top. Big manly work hands glided up her sides as his eager mouth kissed along her neck. He pulled his hands out and turned her around quickly. He held her to him as bent down to kiss along her neck.

“I want you so much Anatha,” he whispered between kisses. “I have never wanted a woman as much as I want you.”

Her eyes were closed enjoy the feel of his lips on her neck and shoulders. His hands went back under her shirt and rubbed along her stomach and moved up until each hand cupped a breast. He kneaded over and over again making her insides warm and clench.
